This page explains how to delete your Beat account and request erasure of your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). It complements our Privacy Policy; please read that for full context on what data we hold and why.
Beat is used at work. Your account is created and administered by your employer (your "Tenant" — typically a cement / building-materials distributor). Most of the data inside your account (visits, customer records, leads, quotes) is owned by your employer as business records, not by you personally.
The path to deleting your account depends on whether you still have access to it. Pick the option below that applies to you.
This is the fastest path. From inside the Beat app (mobile or web):
Tip: before deleting, you can also use "Export my data" on the same screen to download a JSON copy of your personal data.
Email us at privacy@neaurabuild.com
with the subject line Account deletion request — Beat and include:
📧 Email account deletion request
We may need to verify your identity (e.g. a brief call to your registered mobile or a confirmation email exchange) before processing — this prevents someone else from deleting your account without your knowledge.
Your organisation's Beat administrator can delete your employee account directly from inside Beat (Admin → Users → find your account → Delete). If you have a way to reach them (HR, IT, your manager), this is often the quickest route since they don't need to verify your identity to us.
Within 7 business days of a verified deletion request (and always within the DPDP Act's statutory 30-day window), the following happens:
| Data category | What we do |
|---|---|
| Your personal profile (name, email, phone, photo, signature, role) | Permanently deleted. |
| Your login credentials (password hash, session tokens) | Permanently deleted. |
| Your device metadata (last-known device name, push-notification token) | Permanently deleted. |
| Your activity location pings (GPS during travel between visits) | Anonymised — the GPS coordinates remain in your employer's analytics but are no longer linked to you. |
| Customer records, visit logs, leads, quotes you created or edited | Retained by your employer as business records (these belong to the Tenant, not to you personally — same way a customer's order history doesn't get deleted when the salesperson who took the order leaves the company). Your name is scrubbed from the "created_by" / "assigned_to" fields and replaced with "Former employee". |
| Audit log entries about you (logins, admin actions taken on your account) | Retained for 12 months for security, fraud-prevention, and statutory compliance under the IT Act 2000 + DPDP Act §17. Automatically purged after that. |
| Backups | Encrypted backups roll forward on a 30-day cycle, so any reference to you in older snapshots ages out within 30 days of deletion. We do not restore from backup specifically to recover a deleted account. |
This split between "personal data we delete" and "business records the Tenant retains" follows the DPDP Act's Data Fiduciary / Data Processor structure — your employer is the Fiduciary for the business records inside Beat; we (Pinnacle Infratech & Service Pvt. Ltd.) are the Processor and delete on instruction.

requirement.
